Henningsvær is one of the most photogenic places in all of Lofoten — a tiny fishing village spread across a handful of rocky islets, linked to the rest of the archipelago by slender bridges. As of January 2022 it counted just 517 registered inhabitants, but in summer that number is dwarfed by visitors.
This drive threads the village's famously narrow roads, past the wooden quays, the racks once hung with drying cod, and the tight-knit cluster of houses that make Henningsvær feel like a community built on the sea itself. In the holiday season it's a genuine hotspot, and the footage shows just how busy these little lanes can get — a fascinating contrast between the off-season calm of 500-odd locals and the summer crowds drawn by the village's looks and its world-famous mountainside football pitch.
