Molde, on Norway's north-western coast, is known as the 'City of Roses' for its gardens and mild seaside climate — and it's famous, too, for the panorama of 222 mountain peaks said to be visible across the fjord on a clear day. This quick drive takes you through the city centre in just that kind of perfect weather.
The route passes the city's landmarks in easy succession: the modern Molde Cathedral, the waterfront looking out over the Romsdalsfjord, and Aker Stadion, the tidy seaside ground that's home to the city's well-known football club. It's a compact, good-looking city, and with clear skies and great light the drive shows it at its best — relaxed, green and framed by water and mountains.
A short drive through one of the west coast's most likeable cities. Press play to roll through Molde, and explore more of my Norwegian city drives on my channel.
