This is a different kind of film from me — one made not to be watched closely, but to be lived alongside. Recorded in winter on the west coast of Norway near Bergen, it's a 37-minute drive shot from the passenger side, with no music and no commentary: just the pure, gentle sound of an EV gliding through the landscape.
The road runs through plenty of tunnels, with salted, wet winter tarmac and a constant soft spray thrown up by passing cars — and that steady, low wash of sound is exactly the point. With the electric motor near-silent, what you're left with is the soothing hum of tyres on wet road and the muffled rush of the tunnels, the kind of consistent background texture that's ideal for relaxing, falling asleep, or settling in to concentrate. The passenger-side view drifts by quietly, asking nothing of you.
Put it on, turn the lights down, and let the drive do the rest. Press play to unwind with the west-coast winter roads, and find more of my longer ambient drives on my channel.
